I Know a Spot ("we", "us") helps you discover and share restaurant recommendations. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details — your email, username, and hometown.
- Content you create — reviews, ratings, photos, tags, and your top spots.
- Social activity — follows, likes, comments, and collaboration requests.
- Optional preferences — taste profile and display settings.
How we use your information
We use your information to run core features — showing your feed, powering search and maps, delivering notifications, and improving recommendations. We do not sell your personal data.
What others can see
Your username, reviews, ratings, photos, and top spots are visible to other users. Your email is never shown publicly. You control who you follow and can block users at any time.
Content moderation
We provide tools to report content and block users. Reported content is reviewed and may be removed if it breaches our terms.
Your choices & rights
You can edit your profile, pause your account, or permanently delete your account and its data at any time from Settings → Account. You may also request a copy of your data by contacting us.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data and content are removed.
